Diogo Moreira é sexto na Moto3
Não temos brasileiros na principal categoria da motovelocidade, mas temos Diogo Moreira, brilhando na Moto3. O paulista de 18 anos, está obtendo seus primeiros resultados na categoria.
Sexta posição para Diogo Moreira (KTM RC250GP/MT Helmets MSI) no GP da Grã-Bretanha, 12ª etapa do Mundial da Moto3, em Silverstone. Depois de largar da pole, o brasileiro se manteve no pelotão de ponta em uma das mais espetaculares corridas da categoria – nada menos que 19 motos brigaram pelos primeiros lugares ao longo das 17 voltas. Ele chegou a cair para 14º mas, em um fim de prova frenético, avançou novamente. E igualou seu melhor resultado na temporada de estreia, conquistado também no Qatar e na Argentina.
Moreira fez a primeira curva na frente e chegou a liderar por alguns metros. Além dele, Denis Oncu (KTM), Ivan Ortolá (KTM), Tatsuki Suzuki (Honda), Ayumu Sasaki (Husqvarna), John McPhee (Husqvarna) e Dennis Foggia (Honda) se alternaram na P.1. Líder (Sergio Garcia) e vice-líder do Mundial (Izan Guevara) terminaram no chão. Mesmo caso de Sasaki, Suzuki, Ortolá e David Muñoz.
O italiano Foggia conseguiu uma vantagem mínima na última volta para cruzar na frente, seguido por Masia e Oncu. Moreira recebeu a bandeirada a 0s881 do vencedor.
O brasileiro chegou a 44 pontos e é o 15º no campeonato.
